That's the one question every car has to pass. If the answer isn't an easy yes, we walk away. We've inspected over 200 cars, and only about half of them passed our thorough checks without hidden faults.
How a car joins us
Before we see it.
We run a full history check and read the MOT record and the advert line by line. Where the spec isn't clear, we check it against the manufacturer's VIN data.
The inspection.
Paint depth measured on every panel. Bolts, seals and panel gaps checked for signs of hidden repairs. A full diagnostic scan, with live engine and gearbox data read under load. Underneath, and a proper road test.
The decision.
If anything doesn't add up, we walk away. Most cars we look at never make it here.
Preparation.
We put right what others would leave for you to find, with genuine or equivalent parts, following the manufacturer's procedures and torque settings.
The viewing.
We show you the car and tell you everything we know about it. Any check you'd like to see, we'll do in front of you.
Bring your own mechanic
Any independent inspection is welcome: the AA, the RAC or your own mechanic. We'll put the kettle on.
